Hexagon Pavement - Claire Passmore (31 December 2018)

And so we have arrived at the end of the year, and the end of our first project. I would like to say a big thank you to each of you for joining in with this adventure - I have really enjoyed seeing how each of us has looked at the original photograph and taken something different from it. Every single piece is beautiful - Bravo!

My small quilt has kept me puzzling until the very last day, I only put the final stitch in it last night. It has been taken apart more times than I care to mention, but has fortunately proved to be quite robust.
I have tried out so many different ideas and the photos below are what I have decided on. I hope you like it.
Each of the pieces is the same - a folded hexagon made from organdie fabric with a tile printed on the centre of each. The whole thing folds and unfolds very nicely, but was a devil to stitch!

Like Ana,'s beautiful quilt, it is two sided so I decided  to try making a short movie so you can see both sides. I have a lot to learn about making movies, but I hope you get the idea!

I hope you have a good end to the year and wish you all the very best. I know it has been a terribly difficult year for some of us, and I hope that 2019 will bring peace to us all.

Lots of love
