Denise: Utopie pour une ville verte - Utopia for a green city

 

C’est Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000), artiste autrichien, peintre, architecte et poète qui m’a inspirée pour ce défi. Il est très connu pour ses habitations écologiques et ses œuvres d'art visionnaires ; son style unique et reconnaissable, donne une grande place à la nature, avec des idées parfois complètement fantaisistes : les arbres sont plantés devant les fenêtres pour sentir la forêt dans la ville, le droit à la fenêtre que chacun peut personnaliser à sa façon, tolérer la végétation spontanée, etc. Son œuvre très riche est totalement hors du commun et haute en couleur. C’est pour lui une philosophie de vie.
Il souhaitait notamment conclure un traité de paix avec la nature, traité qui s’organisait en plusieurs points très précis.

C’est cette idée qui m’a inspirée « Utopie pour une ville verte ».
J’ai représenté l’immeuble qu’il a construit à Vienne en Autriche (1980) qui va affirmer sa vocation de « médecin de l’architecture » ; l’immeuble est réalisé sur organdi posé sur un interface, coloré et brodé en piqué libre. Il est posé sur un papier aquarelle coloré en vert sur lequel j’ai retranscrit quelques phrases de son traité de paix.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000), an Austrian artist, painter, architect and poet, inspired me for this challenge. He is well known for his ecological housing and visionary artworks; his style is unique and recognizable. He gives a lot of space to nature, with sometimes completely fanciful ideas: trees are planted in front of the windows to feel the forest in the city, the right to the window that everyone can personalize in their own way, tolerating spontaneous vegetation, etc. His very rich work is totally uncommon and colorful. It is for him a philosophy of life.
He wished to conclude a treaty of peace with nature, a treaty that was organized in several very precise points.

This idea inspired me to create "Utopia for a Green City".
I represented the building that he built in Vienna, Austria (1980), which will affirm his vocation as a "doctor of architecture"; the building is made on organza laid on an interface, colored and embroidered in free stitching. It is placed on a watercolor paper colored in green on which I transcribed some sentences of his treaty of peace.
